This is further endorsed by the prestigious International Wines & Spirit Competition of 2001, in which D'Oliveira entered, for the first time, 3 of their Madeira wines. They left having been awarded two Gold Medals and one Silver Medal.

Since then 8 Madeira wines have been entered in international competitions in 2003, 2006, 2007 and 2008 resulting in 8 medals. Two Gold, 5 Silver and one Bronze.
